　　Sunflower 向日葵

　　向日葵是最 高的开花植物之一，很容易识别，长长的茎和大的圆形大黄花。向日葵在盛夏时节盛开。它们通常在夏季中期开始开花，可以一直开到秋天。向日葵因其油和种子而被商业化种植。

　　One of the tallest flowering annual plants is the sunflower. These famous flowers are easily identified with their long stems and very large big round yellow flowers. Sunflowers bloom at their peak in the middle of summer. They usually start flowering in the middle of summer and can continue blooming until the fall. Sunflowers are grown commercially for their oil and their seeds.

　　Rose 玫瑰

　　The Lotus flower is regarded in many different cultures, especially in eastern religions, as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self regeneration and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower.

　　paeonia suffruticosa 牡丹

　　牡丹在我国具有比较深远的政治与文化意义。这一类的植物在中国已经栽培了几千年，最初只是作为传统中药的来源，特别是其根部的皮。很早以前，这种植物也因其观赏价值而被栽培，它在中国文化中受到高度尊重。

　　Paeonia suffruticosa has always had an important status in both Chinese politics and culture. The common name used in China is mǔdān. Plants belonging to this group have been cultivated for millennia in China, initially only as a source of traditional Chinese medicine particularly the skin of its roots . Some are the typical oval shape of a tulip petal, others have lily-shaped petal, and some have wispy multicolored petals that have a puffy appearance.
