雅思词汇：都有“旅行，旅游”的意思，travel，journey 或 trip 却不仅相同

　　英语中有几个单词，它们都有“旅行，旅游”的意思，分别是 trip，journey 和 travel 等，那它们有什么区别呢?你向往的旅途是什么样的呢?

　　一、travel

　　Travel 的英文解释是：to go from one place to another, especially over a long distance

　　由此可见，travel 通常是长距离的旅行，且是从一个地方到另一个地方，是旅游的通称，例如：

　　Paul travels a lot in his job.保罗在工作中经常出差。

　　I love travelling by train.我喜欢乘火车旅行。

　　Travel 作名词时，表示旅游的行为或活动，通常是不可数名词，例如：

　　I heard on the travel news that there'd been an accident.

　　我从旅游新闻上听说发生了一起事故。

　　The post involves a considerable amount of foreign travel .这一职务要求经常出差去国外。

　　作名词时，travel 还常以复数形式 travels 出现，表示花在旅途中时间，此时相当于 trips，例如：

　　由此可见，trip 通常指为了娱乐或特殊目的的短暂往还的旅行，通常与动词 take 或 go on 等连用，例如：

　　The trip from York to Newcastle takes about an hour by train.从约克到纽卡斯尔坐火车大约需要一个小时。

　　They took a trip down the river.他们沿河往下游旅行。

　　For our wedding anniversary, we went on a trip to Venice.为了结婚纪念日，我们去了威尼斯。

　　那么我们常说的为了某种目的而进行的“出差”，一般用 business trip 来表示，例如：

　　四、三者的区别

　　1. travel 是旅游的统称，这个可以从 journey 和 trip 的英语释义中看出来。

　　2. trip 是基础词汇，而 jounery 不是，且 trip 用于较广的语境;一般来说 trip 的旅程较 journey 的旅程短，但并不是绝 对的，即使 trip 涉及的旅程常，但是所花费的时间常常不长。

　　3. travel 可以表示旅程的行为或活动，而 trip 或 journey 通常没有这种用法，因此旅途新闻是 travel news，旅行包是 travel bag 或旅游业是 travel industry 等。

　　解析：trip 通常是娱乐或某个目的进行的，而 travel 用来描述一般的旅行行为。
